Conditions strictly prohibited In order to preserve the legal, banking, and logistical security of our HSS (High Seas Sales) operations, we inform you that the following terms are not accepted under any circumstances:
1. Non-binding block funds
• Even when backed by bank certificates, block funds do not guarantee any actual payment.
• Significant risk: the bank may reclassify the transaction as a simple documentary remittance, with no payment obligation.
• This exposes our company to unjustified bank fees and holds, without any real coverage.
2. Simple Documentary Remittance (Bank to Bank)
• We refuse any payment by documentary remittance without a secured instrument or actual payment.
• This type of procedure offers no guarantee of payment, especially for vessels already at sea.
3. Vessel Routing without Prior Payment
• No vessel will be redirected or routed to a purchasing port without prior receipt of actual payment covering:
• Maritime routing costs
• Insurance
• Operational costs related to the redirection
4. Letter of Credit (L/C) for Vessels Already at Sea
• Usual or deferred L/Cs are unacceptable for cargoes already on board.
5. Non-binding MT199 or MT799
• We do not respond to simple MT199 or MT799 documents, which are considered non-binding and often waste time.
• All serious requests must be accompanied by a compliant, binding instrument, or a structured MT103/72 or confirmed SBLC payment.
